Birmingham weekender is back for another year taking place over 3 days though out the city centre of Birminghams showing lots of mind boggling array of art and culture performances right into the faces of the Birmingham community free event that everyone take part in. 

The performances started each day 24 to 26 of August 2024 at 12pm across the city centre from bullring to the Southside by the hippodrome that Produced and ran this event in partnership with Bullring and Grand Central.

(Outstanding artist Stephanie Lüning delves deep into the fascinating world of foam, unveiling a series of works that redefine the boundaries of art. Foam, often considered an everyday and overlooked material, is transformed by Lüning into a source of metaphysical insight) 

Island of Foam, held at St Martin's Square at Bullring & Grand Central Birmingham. Started at the top of the stairs that leads up to Central Street it was a slow but amazing show familys had opportunity to play in it.

UNITY is a reflection on community, an act of protest, a call for change and a dream for the future; a large-scale, outdoor aerial production that merges immersive theatre, circus and community stories in a powerful but intimate way. An immersive aerial spectacular combining acrobatic performances, music and poetry with a political message highlighting the underserved in society.

A meaningful, joyful performance with live music, comedy and amazing feats of strength and agility. We celebrate what’s possible when humans and the natural world trust each other and work in harmony. Outside Birmingham new street 100 Trade square

Living artwork Blanko invites audiences to be the artists, pick up a paintbrush and cover him in colour.

Bubble Extravaganza 

Dance Flashmob : Marshon Dance Company is bringing electrifying flash mobs to the city centre. Through high-energy street dance and powerful choreography, Marshon embodies community and empowerment.

Tread : An empty space, but from its centre comes the cyclic whirring of a standard-size treadmill; this is WALKER Movement Theatre Company’s vehicle for thought provocation.

TREAD intertwines stunt performance techniques, contemporary dance, and minimalist development practices to create a mesmerising exploration of the Black moving body that invites audiences into a realm where joyful fantasy and brutal realities transcend and coexist.
