The annual Two day Dragon Boat Race returned to Birmingham city centre for the third year.
This Event took place at Mailbox Birmingham but the starting point of the race was at by the The Botanist Brindley Place on Birmingham canal old line teams of 17 people go head to head on Friday 28 and Saturday 29 June.
Last year the event raised £265,011 this time a whopping £245,477.91
Teams are made up of 16 rowers and a Drummer
51 teams took part over the two days included Birmingham the Cube and the mailbox staff and businesses across Birmingham area and beyond
There were three trophies up for grab on the day.
Series of three 200m races of three different teams.
The atmosphere was electric, with crowds forming across The Cube bridge and along the sides of the canal. Teams sported colourful company t-shirts and fancy dress, appearing as fruit and various animals, with one opposing team member donning an inflatable rhino suit. Despite the extravagant costumes, the teams were highly competitive, the stakes were high, and everyone had their eyes on first place.
