Festival of dance and music in celebration of Spaghetti Junction

Performance of a brand new dance work, called The Junction, that has been created by ME Dance especially for this event. The company have researched stories into the people who lived in Erdington, Gravelly Hill and Aston before Spaghetti Junction was built in the 1960s. The area became a centre for migration as people from across the Commonwealth made Birmingham their home, including members of the Windrush Generation.

National Highways are the beating heart of the motorways, their aim is to look after the community by maintaining the roads across the country, whether in built up or rural areas. Canal and River Trust maintain many of the canals and rivers across the country, linking the country

 

Did you know that spaghetti junction in Birmingham is 52 Years old open in 24 May 1972

All images captured by me on the Sony A7 RV with the Tamron 70-180mm f/2.8 g2 and Sigma 24-70 2.8 On the 27 of July unfortunately couldn't make the Sunday performance edit in lightroom.

 

We started our journey getting the bus 66 to Powerleague Birmingham around 11:30 got the spaghetti junction then we got a bit lost seen two groups of people on the canal but we was not sure if there was part of it /going to it or does having a nice walk there was a woman give us some advice where and how to get there we finally arrived to the location around 5 minutes to spare for the performance starting at 12:00.

 

 

 

There was two performances 12:00 and 3:00 I stayed for both there was also over stores like Reka Dey glitter tattoos/face painting I think there was 13 stores on Saturday and some food vendors and ice cream truck sadly he/she left early 

Between the performances went to Brookvale Park got some photos of squirrels 

At the end of the day visit Aston reservoir then catched the 66 back home and picking up some lunch at the local fish and chips hop
